The Lambton Attack U9 HL-2 squad split a pair of games on the weekend, taking a 13-3 decision against the West Oxford Inferno on Saturday, Nov. 1 before losing 5-2 to the North Middlesex Jr. Stars on Sunday, Nov. 2.
The Attack have spent the past few practices working hard on their passing game and it showed early on Saturday as Lambton raced out of the gates against the Inferno.
Once the Attack grabbed the lead, they never looked back thanks to Darcy H.'s strong play in goal and a number of skaters finding the back of the net multiple times. Holly 'Joe' A. led the way with a five goal explosion, including a natural hat-trick to start the game.
Annabelle A. added a hat-trick while Paisley R. and June C. both potted a pair of goals while Lillian B. found the back of the net once to round out the scoring.
Isabelle H. was all over the ice in the win and picked up Hardest Working Player honours.
The ladies were right back at it on Sunday morning in Parkhill against the Jr. Stars, and once again the passing game shone brightly.
Despite losing the game 5-2, Lambton dominated puck possession and a picture perfect pass from behind the net by Emma S. set up Annabelle A. for her fourth tally of the weekend.
Mya S., who was named the game's Hardest Working Player, also found the back of the net for the Attack while Lillian B. donned the pads and came up with several big saves for the squad in Purple.
The Attack are now 1-2 on the season and will hit the road again next weekend for a contest in Lucan against the Irish on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11:00 a.m.
