Face Off for Mental Health
Submitted By Brenda Hudson on Friday, November 2, 2018
The Face Off for Mental Health campaign has started.

St. Clair Child and Youth Services has launched Face Off for Mental Health, an exciting campaign aimed at raising awareness about mental health through local hockey associations.  Through hockey, our goal is to make arenas and dressing rooms a safe place to talk about mental health.

Local hockey associations each hosted a Face Off for Mental Health Awareness Weekend, where teams from mite to midget taped their sticks green in support of mental health.  This past year information about local resources was available in arenas and over 2600 registered players were provided with a hockey puck with helpline information.  Additionally, each association made it mandatory to for bench staff to participate in a mental health education workshop.
Lambton Attack will again be participating in this campaign. Stay tuned for details as to when our Face Off to Mental Health weekend will be.
